Peter’s Perez’s Day of the Dead artwork featured at the Museums of Sonoma County
Murals and Altars Abound!
The Museums of Sonoma County's annual Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) exhibition will feature altars and artwork designed and created by Peter Perez, Mario Uribe, Rubén Guzmán, and Martín Zúñiga, and will feature curated items from Liz Camino-Byers' collection of Mexican folk art. The exhibition will also include works by students who participate in our Memory Portrait Competition, and murals painted by students from ArtStart, Community Action Partnership, and museum volunteers, from the Youth+Art summer program, sponsored by Creative Sonoma.
The exhibition runs from October 9 to November 14, 2018

Bienvenidos, welcome to a colorful and traditional humorous look at death. In the spirit of Mexican Artist, Jose Guadalupe Posada, creator of La Catrina in 1913, I have created this collection of illustrated images and paintings of the imagined lives and past times of the dead.
