About the artist - David K. Griffin
David K. Griffin is an artist and graphic designer who has returned to Vermont to network and collaborate with his many creative friends.
As a new member of the ISKRA Print Collective in Burlington, Vermont - he has been churning out limited edition silk screen prints that are popping up in galleries, restaurants and shops around the state.
David's oil paintings of Vermont's apple orchards, Burlington's waterfront and bucolic country road scenes, are making their way into collectors homes and businesses around the state and country, too.
His graphic illustration style, as seen in Vermont Retro Prints is impressive. He's inspired by the old school illustrators, who - in the 1940's and 50's created outdoor magazine covers. David's versions often include images of Mt. Mansfield and Camel's Hump, both iconic "green mountains."

(Pictured in the background) I spent many summers swimming, fishing and growing up (with my three brothers and two sisters), at the Mt. Hope Pond in Rockaway, New Jersey. The handsome young guy on the left is me, age 11, sporting a nice paisley shirt.

Taking a lunch break in the Boston Commons (see the with swan boats in the background) with friends from Art School. (I'm the long-haired guy on the left). My career as a graphic designer began early. I was employed as an art director, for a Newbury Street advertising agency, when I was 20 years old.

{The Burlington Boathouse on Lake Champlain in Vermont - pictured above) Griffin Graphics, my design firm, was a driving force behind many small business start-ups in the 1980's and 90's.
National and regional brands were designed by yours truly, David K. Griffin. The South End Art Hop is another of my proud accomplishments. I was founding board member and president of Arts and Business Association that organized the event in the early years. Today, it is one of the top arts related events in Vermont, drawing thousands of enthusiasts to Burlington for the yearly celebration.

A Creative Director position for a Petaluma, California natural products company was my next professional adventure. During my three years in California, I grew to appreciate the diverse culture and beautiful gold-coast country-side. While there, I helped organize the Petaluma Art Center and Day of the Dead celebration with my mentor, Peter Perez. San Francisco offered amazing arts connections. I met several creative folks and maintain great friendships today.
